Mr. Max is a Hong Kong born Native English Teacher, he graduated from Lingnan University in 2021 majoring in English language and communications. Mr. Max is equipped with 3 years of teaching experience, and loves being around kids. He hopes that all his students can excel and develop love and interest for the English language.

Ms. Bash is from sunny South Africa; she completed a degree in Education in 2014 from the University of Johannesburg. She loves teaching and doing crafts with her students. She is interested in watching sports and travelling.

After Mr. Shane completing his Bachelor's in International Business, he decided to pursue a career in educating the next generation of future leaders. He hopes to give back to the city that has given him a lot. Shane has a deep passion for sports and regularly plays American Football every weekend.

Mr. Alex is from Swansea in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a solicitor. After the birth of his daughter here in Hong Kong he decided to change his career and completed his TEFL course. He is looking forward to helping his students achieve their full potential!

Mr. Alexwas born and raised all his life in the United States, where he graduated from university with a Bachelor’s in History. He has been teaching ESL for many years to many students in places like the US, China, Thailand and Hong Kong! Alex is always motivated to create an amazing experience and great English lessons for his students!

Mr.Alex is a dynamic and enthusiastic English teacher, dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential in literature and language. Alex creates a stimulating and supportive learning environment, with a passion for creative expression and a knack for making complex concepts accessible. Miss Alysa comes from Durban, South Africa. She graduated from University with her Bachelor of education and has taught for 2 years in South Africa. Miss Alysa enjoys being around young children and engaging with them. Her hobbies are reading as well as playing video games.

Ms. Amy is from Dublin, the capital of Ireland. She obtained her bachelor’s degree is General Science and specialized in Chemistry. Ms. Amy loves to travel and try on different cuisines. She enjoys teaching young children and looking forward to join the Monkey Tree team.

Ms. Anaya is from the United Kingdom. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Swansea. She competed her TEFL in 2023. Her hobbies include hiking, drawing and travelling!

Ms. Reia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and completed her TESOL & TEFL certificate course. She has been working with kids for over 3 years and enjoys connecting with her students using fun learning methods that motivates students in learning the English language. She believes that teaching is a rewarding career and hopes that she can help her students further their skills. Ms. Reia is extremely excited to be working at Monkey Tree.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts at The University of Gloucestershire and his Master of Arts at Goldsmiths University in London, UK, for Creative & Life Writing, Andrew acquired a love of the English language and its utilization across many fields. After some tutoring classes, he moved over to Hong Kong to pursue a career in teaching. He wishes to use this creative side with his energy to make his lessons as effective as possible for his students.

Ms. Ann is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Film, Visual, and Performing Arts, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She loves working with children, enjoys all kinds of sports, and is happiest when spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Anton is from Cape Town, South Africa. He has experience teaching English in various settings such as schools and language centers. His approach to teaching emphasizes the ability to use English effectively in real-life situations. His classes are fun and engaging, and he loves helping students achieve their goals.

Mr. Prinsloo is an Industrial Psychology graduate from Potchefstroom, South Africa. He enjoys exploring, fishing and hiking in his spare time. Mr. Sallie is an English teacher from South Africa, he aims to create a learning environment that is fun and conducive to learning. He enjoys exploring and enjoying new experiences.

Mr. Ashley is from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He loves sports, soccer in particular, so much so that his abilities earned him a full academic and sporting scholarship. In his spare time, Mr. Ashley enjoys reading and watching podcasts. 

Miss Audrey has been to various countries in Asia and enjoys Asia very much. She also likes exploring new places and is a foodie who’s always on the hunt for new and unique restaurants.

Mr. Ben is from South Africa. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Cape Town. Some of his hobbies include farming, DIY, and video games.

Mr. Bevan is from Ireland. He studied Law with Chinese Studies at University College Dublin. He has experience working at a kindergarten in Shenzhen and loves teaching young children. He enjoys reading, his favourite author is Leo Tolstoy.

Miss Bianca is a South African from a small seaside town called Knysna. She enjoys creative activities and loves helping people, this led to her wanting to help children express themselves in English and other creative ways.

Mr. Cooke was born in Canada and currently resides in Macau with his family. He received a diploma in Business Management from Okanagan College. Previously, Mr. Cooke’s tourism experience provided him with the opportunity to pursue educational vocations both domestically and abroad. He enjoys reading and writing on historical topics and spends his free time painting.

Mr. Brandon is from South Africa and holds a BSc in Biomedical Science. He is also busy with his MBA. He is passionate about traveling and is an adrenaline junkie who loves seeking new adventures. With experience in tutoring and teaching, Mr. Brandon brings enthusiasm and a dynamic approach to the classroom.

Miss Bronwyn is from South Africa. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Law degree from the University of South Africa. She completed two TEFL courses. Her hobbies are watching series, reading and travelling. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

Ms. Caitlyn is from Australia. She completed her studies in Macau and has a bachelor degree in business as well as a TEFL certificate. She has a passion for business, dancing, and teaching. Ms. Caitlyn is very excited to be joining the Monkey Tree team.

Mr. Cameron is from South Africa. He is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of the Western Cape. Mr. Cameron's passions include the automotive scene, playing musical instruments and body building. He is a driven individual who seeks to deliver the best.

Mr Cameron loves teaching English and has taught in China, South Africa, Thailand, Russia and Vietnam. His favourite colour is green and favourite animal is a tiger. Outside the classroom, he enjoys the seaside, reading, researching, technology and sunsets.

Miss Candace is an enthusiastic, bubbly teacher who comes from South Africa. She approaches teaching with an enjoyable, interactive way that allows children to learn while they have fun. Candace finished her degree with a major in Art and Drama and loves to create artistic new ways of teaching. She interacts with kids in a kind and hands-on approach. Candace is excited for her new journey with the kids and all the new and wonderful things teaching in Hong Kong has to offer.

Miss Engelbrecht is from South Africa and graduated from the University of Pretoria. She enjoys writing poems and baking. Miss Engelbrecht decided to come to Hong Kong, to experience the culture, people and food. She’s really looking forward to staying in Hong Kong and teaching here.

Mr. Caro grew up in Upington, South Africa, obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Risk Management from the North West University of Potchefstroom in 2019,. He spent a few years working in the finance and investment industry, before realizing that he still wants to see more of the world. He decided to move to Macau, to teach young kids English with passion.

Philip Carstens is 40 years old and comes from Centurion South Africa. His hobbies and interests are playing tennis, hiking and reading books. He decided to come to Hong Kong to experience the culture and delectable cuisine. His passion is to teach and make a difference in children's lives.

Ms Catherine is a friendly 25 years old teacher from Johannesburg, South Africa. Ms Catherine attended the University of Pretoria and completed her undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Visual Studies. She loves to travel and have always wished to experience different cultures. This encouraged her to become TEFL qualified, allowing her the incredible opportunity of exploring Hong Kong whilst teaching English.

Mr. Charl is from South Africa. He has previously been a volunteer teacher for special needs children at public schools. He has also been a supplementary tutor for university students. After graduating with a degree in psychology and sociology, he decided to focus on teaching English as a second language to young students.

Mr. Theunissen is from Cape Town, South Africa. He graduated with a Bachelors/ Honours Degree and partially completed his Master Degree in Public Management / Administration at the University of the Western Cape. He also completed his TEFL course. Ms. Chelsea studied a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in the United States. She worked at an ESL learning center near her while studying in university. She is passionate about showing young students that language learning can be fun and rewarding. She strongly believes that her friendly and realistic approach will allow students to feel comfortable and have fun while learning naturally.

Miss Christina is 25-year-old teacher who completed her studies in forensic psychology and law. She is passionate about teaching and making an impact in her students’ lives.

Ms Christine is an energetic teacher who comes from South Africa. She has a master’s degree in Biological Sciences and has come to Hong Kong to teach English to learners at Monkey Tree. Both Ms. Christine's mom and sister are teachers in South Africa and in the Netherlands. Ms. Christine enjoys teaching children and loves to encourage learners by making lessons fun. By making lessons fun, Ms. Christine believes the child's memory of the lesson content is improved.

Mr. Christopher, hailing from a diverse culinary background, has seamlessly woven his culinary expertise into the fabric of English education. Initially drawn to tutoring part-time, he discovered his true passion for teaching English. Christopher now brings a flavorful blend of language to the classroom, inspiring students with a unique and engaging approach to literature and language.

Mr. Clayton is an Education graduate from South Africa, with a specialization in English. He enjoys football, fitness and reading philosophy in his spare time. 

Mr. Corey is energetic and enthusiastic about delivering superior academic service to every student in the education sector. He is successful at quality of service in any organization's culture with strong adaptability skills.

Ms. Cresta is from South Africa. She has been teaching children for over 4 years. Ms. Cresta loves exploring new places and learning about other cultures. She is very passionate about helping her students reach their full potential.

Mr Cuan was born and raised in South Africa. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Organization Psychology and Industrial Sociology. Whilst studying, Mr. Cuan was a student assistant for two years at a private school within the city. He enjoyed working with kids and teenagers, thus he started his post graduate certificate in education. He then did TEFL to get him to his dream city. He is exited to engage with the culture and especially the kids at Monkey Tree.

Mr. Dale is from Durban, South Africa. After completing his BA degree in Creative Writing, he decided to complete a TEFL course in order to embark on a new journey in which he could be immersed in different cultures while helping others along the way. Mr. Dale loves sport and adventure and can often be found playing golf, hiking or exploring everything that nature has to offer.

Mr. Dane is from Australia. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) from Deakin University. He has tutored students both in Australia and abroad, in countries such as Spain, China and Indonesia. You will likely see him playing basketball on the many fabulous courts around the city - be sure to say hi!

Mr. Daniel is from the UK. He has been living in Hong Kong for three years now. He has a kind heart and is very passionate about educating children. He is a singer, songwriter and loves helping children become more confident. He enjoys hiking and doing outdoor activities. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Daniel worked in playgroups and nurseries in England.

Mr. Dan is a teacher who loves to help students learn and grow. He loves people and life, and wants to help others become the best version of themselves. Mr. Dan is great at teaching English in a fun way, he makes learning exciting and easy to understand, so students can feel happy and proud of regarding their progress!

He has a passion for adventure and mountain trekking, and je completed an expedition to Himalayan mountain range, successfully completing a traverse of Thorong-La, the highest mountain pass in the world!

De Villiers loves watching learners develop into a more confident version of themselves, as they improve on their English. He also loves going hiking and exploring new places, he always did that back in Cape Town, South Africa. De Villiers, is a very long name, so he always tells the learners to refer to him to as, "Mr. DV" instead.

Ms. Elaine finished her bachelor's degree in English Education s, and not long after, she acquired her TESOL and CTEYL certifications. Currently, she is in the process of writing her master's degree thesis in English and Applied Linguistics. Her interests include cooking and spending time with nature. Ms. Ellie is from Derby in the UK. She completed a BA in History at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2018. Moving to work at Monkey Tree in Macau gives her the opportunity to progress in a field she has great passion for. Some of her interests include music and movies.

Elizabeth Biek has received her degree in Creative Media. She is thrilled to be working with the other Monkey Tree faculty to help children better their skills in English.

Miss Eugenia is a qualified and enthusiastic teacher, who enjoys being around children. She has been teaching English for eight years in mainland China, Russia and Hong Kong. Her goal is to help her students not only to fall in love with the language, but also make them feel confident while speaking. She creates a positive classroom environment where the students can explore and achieve with confidence.

Before Ms. Fazile starting her teaching career, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. She began her career in China, then continued in Vietnam and recently has moved to explore Hong Kong. Ms. Fazile is looking forward to meeting and teaching her students at Monkey Tree!

Mr. Francis is from a small old city called Canterbury in the southeast of the United Kingdom. He has a background in language education, having worked with asylum seekers in the UK with no prior experience of English. He has always had a passion for the learning and acquisition of languages.

Mr. Dominic is from Toronto, Canada. He has an honor’s bachelor’s degree in Sociology from York University and received his TEFL credentials at the University of Toronto. Passionate about teaching, Mr. Dominic values the importance of education for the next generation as he strives to provide excellent learning opportunities for his students at Monkey Tree.

Mr. George is a 25-year-old teacher from Wellington, New Zealand. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Victoria University of Wellington, he is currently in the middle of completing his diploma of teaching (primary) while living in Hong Kong. George has come to Hong Kong to play rugby and teach English, in his spare time he loves training and trying new food spots around the city. 

Mr. Gerrit is from Bloemfontein, South Africa. He is a qualified tradesman and has a TEFL certificate. He likes sport like Rugby, Golf and Soccer. He also likes traveling with his wife, discovering new places and cuisine.

Mr. Sean obtained a Bachelor's in Business Management and has taught English at a local primary school for 2 years. He has always had a passion for nurturing students' learning and displays care. When Mr. Sean is not teaching, he enjoys playing sports, exploring nature, and watching movies.

Mr.Glenn is from South West England, close to Southampton. For the past five years he has been teaching English online, first to professionals from China and Europe and most recently to Japanese and Taiwanese students of all ages. In the past he has taught English to European students in England and to children at a Kindergarten and language school in Japan. His hobbies include drawing, photography, hiking and listening to music.

Ms. Courtney is from Durban, South Africa. She completed her postgraduate degree in Commerce and then found her way to teaching soon after. She is proud to be a part of Monkey Tree and believes that knowledge is power. Her passions include educating young minds and nurturing their love for the English language. She keeps her classes engaging and motivating with tons of fun activities.

Mr Matthew comes from Cape Town, South Africa. He studied Film and Video Production and has worked as a Video Editor, Content Producer and Director for Lifestyle Television. Last year, Mr Matthew completed a degree in Photography and his TEFL training. He is excited to be living in Hong Kong and looks forward to helping all his students reach their full potential.

Mr. Pedro obtained a bachelor’s degree in jazz drums in Portugal and a master´s degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. The extensive amount of time devoted to the study of languages led him to become fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. After having taught drums for more than 10 years, Mr. Pedro decided to expand his teaching skills by becoming certified in teaching English to speakers of other languages (CertTESOL) at English for Asia in Hong Kong

Ms. Hafsa was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and I’ve worked in several countries such as Kenya, Malaysia, the United States and Macau. While there I got to teach English to students from countries such as Chilè, Ecuador, Malaysia, Peru, Honduras and several others. Watching them slowly get fluent in the language brought me copious amounts of joy, and now I look forward to teaching younger children the English language and expanding their vocabulary in our fun, supportive, engaging and creative learning environment here at Monkey Tree.

Ms. Heaven is from Chicago, Illinois, USA. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Sociology before continuing to study Sociology during her Master's program. Ms. Heaven enjoys reading, crafts and anime. She is very excited to see all of what Hong Kong has to offer!

Mr. JT is from Groblersdal, South Africa. He obtained a Bachelors in Law in 2019 and completed his TEFL soon after that with the intent of working abroad. Mr. James is from the United Kingdom, he studied BSc Marine Biology at University and is a trained marine mammal medic. He enjoys scuba diving and has flown in spotter planes for National Geographic. He believes his enthusiasm is his greatest teaching strength.

Mr. James graduated from UKZN in South Africa with a honours degree in Psychology, achieved in 2017. He has been a manager for the last three years. Mr. James is a people’s person who draws inspiration through interaction with others. Driven to achieve, he hopes to inspire a future generation to excel and reach their maximum potential.

Ms.Jana is from sunny South Africa. She completed her Honors in Communications in Bloemfontein before moving to Cape Town and is now exploring in Hong Kong. She loves dancing, hiking, diving and anything active, especially if it involves a dog or two!

Miss Jenny is from Manchester, England. She has obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Art and design from the University of Leeds and has completed her TEFL course in 2024. Jimmy is from the United Kingdom and has his BA Degree in International Hospitality Business Management from England. He has a background in International Luxury 5-Star Hotel. Jimmy’s hobbies include reading, jogging, wines, restaurants and travelling.

Miss Jodi is from sunny South Africa; she has a bachelor's degree in fashion design so is quite creative and fun. She loves cats and her hobbies are having new adventures and relaxing with a book.

Janus holds an MBA in Finance, a BSc Honours in Plant Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. During the last 15 years he worked in higher education in health professions, business and teacher education and also taught academic English for science, business and medicine. He is passionate about teaching and working with students to reach their learning goals at every age.

Miss Jordan is a qualified TEFL teacher from South Africa, who is passionate about teaching. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and various outdoor activities such as hiking. She is glad to be a part of the Monkey Tree team where she can help students to learn and grow!

Mr Jordan comes to us from Dallas, Texas USA. He has previously taught English in Yokohama, Japan and he enjoys teaching kids all about the English language. In his free time, Mr Jordan enjoys traveling, going to concerts and sporting events, and playing drums. Mr Jordan is happy, excited and optimistic about the future.

Mr. Joseph is from Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. He graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Media Studies. After completing a TEFL course, he moved to Hong Kong where he taught in kindergartens for 3 years. He gained further experience while teaching at an English academy in Seoul, South Korea for 1 year.

Miss Charlotte is a loving English teacher with years of experience. She has taught many students and helped them become confident and passionate English speakers. Miss Charlotte is confident in her teaching and knows just what to do to help her students succeed. She creates a happy and supportive classroom where everyone feels encouraged to learn and grow.

Mr. Michael was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. After studying abroad in Berlin, Germany he graduated with his masters in International Business Management. After graduating, he decided to complete his TEFL course to teach English in Hong Kong. He enjoys travelling, and making music in his free time.

Kagiso Mojalefa is a passionate teacher with a bachelor's degree in Information Management obtained from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He also has a 120 hours TEFL certificate. Kagiso is a very enthusiastic and goal driven individual with the positive passion for educating people from different ages and cultures. His hobbies include playing chess, swimming and participating variety of sports.

Ms. Karla is from South Africa. She graduated with a Bachelors in Education and is studying towards a Bachelors in Criminology. She loves running, traveling and being adventurous. Her passion is to inspire young minds to reach their full potential.

Miss Katherine is from the state of New York. She recently graduated with her Bachelors in Economics. She loves playing volleyball and traveling, and decided to come to Hong Kong where she can enjoy the best of both. While new to teaching, she has always loved working with kids including running volleyball clinics.

Ms.Kathleen comes from South Africa with a Degree in Exercise, Sport and Leisure. She has worked with children on the sports fields before and wanted to expand her horizons. Ms.Kathleen came to Hong Kong in order to gain new experiences and to immerse herself in a different culture. Her hobbies include reading and playing hockey.

Keith was born and bred in the UK. After completing his masters in graphic design, he decided to move to Hong Kong to pursue a career in teaching. Keith is very energetic and passionate as he would like to bring his art and creative side to the classroom to make the lessons more interesting.

Ms. Kirstin was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa and studied at the University of the Western Cape. Her eagerness to travel and growing passion for teaching encouraged her to complete her TEFL course. She has a love for sports, sightseeing, eating good food and meeting new people.

Mr. Kyle attended Varsity College in South Africa, where he obtained a bachelor’s in Motion Picture Media and specialized in animation. He then focused his energy on completing his TEFL Certificate and was offered his current position at Monkey Tree, Hong Kong.

Mr.Kyle is a very energetic and positive person, his enthusiasm towards teaching is infectious and well received. Kyle enjoys teaching and feed off the energy of his students. Although Asia is a new place for Kyle, he has embraced the culture with excitement and vigor.

Ms. Lakeesia obtained a Bachelor of Social Science, with majors in Management and Psychology. She always dreamt of traveling; she is looking forward to exploring the great Hong Kong whilst teaching English. She enjoys scrap-booking and crafts.

Ms. Laura is from Ireland. She holds a degree in Business studies and accounting and has also completed a post grad in counselling and Psychotherapy. In her spare time, she loves to travel. She also loves to hike and explore nature.

Ms. Leah is a teacher from western Canada. She is enthusiastic about all things film, television and literature. She spends her off time exploring Hong Kong and trying new things. Leah enjoys singing and teaching her students about life in Canada.

Mr. Leon is a South African teacher who has taught abroad in Asia for 4 years. He is a creative and friendly educator who is passionate about expanding young learners' minds. He enjoys traveling and drawing during his off days and he is currently studying Cantonese.

Mr Le Roy Bester has obtained two Bachelor Degrees, and brings 15 years of Human Resources Management experience to the Monkey Tree Family. He firmly believes that Learning and Development is a crucial part of a successful community, and will most certainly promote this Philosophy in our company culture and climate.

Mr. Liam is from Ontario in Canada. He has a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a TEFL certificate. Mr. Liam has been tutoring students of all ages in English since 2020. Besides teaching, he also loves playing the flute, singing folk songs and telling stories.

Mr. Liam is BA social sciences graduate with majors in psychology and sociology. He is an enthusiastic and patient English teacher who loves creating a fun and interactive space for his students to learn in. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking many different dishes from around the world and enjoys playing soccer.

Miss. Lianne is a Traveller, language lover and big-time foodie. She has lived in a few countries outside of her home country Jamaica but has never lost the desire to explore and see more. She fell in love with teaching in Japan and decided to continue. She loves teaching students about her culture. You can usually catch Miss. Lianne doing something musical or some serious martial arts in her free time.

Mr. Linda is a graduate from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and a TEFL certificate. He is passionate about education and is enthusiastic about teaching the many young bright minds in Monkey Tree. He is a former footballer turned amateur pool player. He enjoys the outdoors and exploring new adventures.

Miss Lindi is a multi-talented individual who loves to explore various interests and hobbies. She is always seeking new experiences and challenges; whether it is diving into art, music, or adventure, she embraces every opportunity to learn and grow.

Ms. Loretta studied a Bachelor of Arts in Women Gender Studies and Food Ftudies at the University of Toronto. She has been teaching young kids phonics during summer and she is very passionate about it. In her spare time, Ms. Loretta enjoys hiking, dancing, and exploring new cafes in Hong Kong.

Ms. Loryn is from a city called Port Elizabeth in South Africa. She has obtained a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology as well as a TEFL certificate. She has been teaching kids of all ages for five years and aims make English a fun educational experience.

Mr. Lou is originally from Dundee, Scotland where he studied Textile Design. After getting his degree he volunteered at local charities and youth centers which involved taking children out on daytrips and getting them involved in art projects. Mr. Lou is very excited to be in Hong Kong where he can help his students improve upon their English skills.

Ms Luren comes from sunny South Africa and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and Industrial Psychology. She decided to take on a new challenge and is really enjoying everything Hong Kong has to offer.

Miss. Maxine who graduated with Honour’s in Communications and completed the TEFL Level 5 (180 hours) Certificate. Mr. Ned received a bachelor’s degree in English studies. He moved to China where he taught ESL to young learners. Now he teaches here in Hong Kong. He looks forward to sharing his passion for teaching at Monkey Tree!

Miss Miandra was born and raised in South Africa. She studied Drama and Theatre because she values and enjoys storytelling. During her studies, she's always hoped to pursue her other passion: education. She moved to Hong Kong to develop and explore her teaching abilities while travelling and broadening her cultural horizons.

Mr. Micah is from South Africa. He completed his postgraduate degree in Economics at the University of Pretoria in 2011, and acquired his TEFL certification in 2016. He spent a year teaching English to young learners in Vietnam, and has tutored adults online for several years. His hobbies include hiking, reading, and amateur dramatics.

Ms. Michelle is from South Africa and has a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry. Michelle has taught in Thailand and decided to come to Hong Kong to also experience the food and the culture of Hong Kong. Michelle loves traveling and staying active.

Ms. Michelle is a passionate and enthusiastic and she enjoys teaching young children. Before joining Monkey Tree, Ms. Michelle had experience in teaching Ukelele to young children. She also enjoys singing, listening to music, hiking and watching movies.

Miss Bei has had experience in childcare centres, private tutoring and with playgroups. She really enjoys being around children in general because they give her so much joy and make her laugh. Miss Bei spends her free time practicing yoga!

Mr. Gary grew up in Toronto, Canada. He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and has been teaching since 2017. After obtaining his TESOL certificate, he decided to take his passion for teaching to Hong Kong. He enjoys playing video games and reading adventurous novels, but above all, he loves a fun-filled and communicative class with children.

Mr. Mubin is an intellectual individual who has completed his Bachelor degree in Social Science at Edinburgh Napier University. He has been teaching for more than 3 years now and has prior experience in teaching at local primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. English has always been his strongest suit and he prefers to wear it like his shining armour. Rain is his solace, and pain is his fortitude!

Miss Adeela has completed her Bachelor in Aviation and alongside gained a TEFL certificate. She is excited to start her career at Monkey Tree and she hopes to inspire young children through fun and play. She loves meeting new people and travelling to explore in her leisure time.

Natasha is from Cape Town, South Africa. She holds a Master in Public Health degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & History) degree and an Honours (History) degree. Mr. Nick grew up in Canada. He loves exercising, eating and the outdoors.

Mr. Nick was born and raised in South Africa. After completing his degree and post graduate in business, he realized he had a passion for education. Mr. Conrad is from Toronto, Canada. He studied Bachelor of Arts in English in 2022 and his TESOL certification. He is passionate about teaching and carries an enthusiastic attitude. Ms. Pamela is from Canada and teaching at Monkey Tree is her first experience living in Asia. She brings over 25 years teaching experience, from teaching school in Canada to tap dance to online English. She is a proud mom to 3 adult children and loves to travel. She loves hiking and reading, especially teaching young kids to read as it opens up their minds to different worlds.

Ms Pam was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in French, Politics and Legal Theory at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa. Ms Pam taught French at a pre-school in Harare and was a part of the communications personnel at a start-up company based in Harare, before she obtained her TEFL certificate. She enjoys reading and music, and she's excited to be a part of the Monkey Tree family.

Mr. Paul is a compassionate and resourceful teacher with prior experience in the education sector, having taught as a high school teacher in sunny South Africa, with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Bachelor of Arts General – majoring in English and History. Hello, my name is Robert and I am from Australia. I'm happy to be commencing my 10th year of teaching in Macau after spending the last 9 years in Australia and China. I came to China in 2014 to help start a friend’s training center and after 2 years found myself in Zhuhai teaching at Yung Wing International. I started my teaching career in Australia working with adults with disabilities where I learned the value of patience, understanding and support. I studied Business and Psychology at Swinburne university in Melbourne and enjoyed every aspect.

Mr. Robin is from the small city of Port Elizabeth South Africa. He has achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Cost and Management Accounting and also obtained a TEFL qualification. With the experience he has acquired teaching students of all ages, he aims to bring his passion and excitement for teaching to the classrooms of Monkey Tree.

Ms. Ronell is from South Africa. She graduated from Nelson Mandela University with a Bachelor’s degree in music, a PGCE from UNISA and also obtained her TEFL qualification. She has experience in Primary and High School teaching. She also did her CIBTAC accreditation, which means that she is an Internationally qualified beautician. Her hobbies include: gym. squash, hiking, reading and socializing. She loves teaching, because it is rewarding to see pupils reach for the stars.

Mr. Russel holds a TEFL&TESOL certificate from London. He is a child at heart and loves skateboarding. Mr. Russel loves it so much that he teaches kids as a freelancer.

Mr. Ryan is from Cape Town, South Africa. He graduated with a bachelor commerce finance degree. He loves sports and doing anything that is fitness related! This is Ms. Sam. She is from a beautiful country known as South Africa. Sam has received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, but has a passion for teaching the next generation of young learners!

Mr. Sam obtained a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Geography from Rhodes University, during his studies he also obtained his TEFL certification. After his studies, he worked in the agricultural sector and has since transitioned over to teaching English as a second language. Mr. Sam enjoys the outdoors and anything to do with nature and the ocean.

Mr. Sam was born and raised in Devon, UK. Obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography at Coventry University, he then completed his TEFL qualification six months later in 2023. He is eager to start his new life in Hong Kong and is thrilled to be working with the other Monkey Tree faculty to help children better their skills in English.

Ms. Sarah is an energetic and cuddly teacher who is very excited to meet her new students. She is of British descent, born and raised in Hong Kong and is passionate in helping her students find the joy of learning English. Her hobbies include reading novels, playing volleyball and enjoying mother nature.

Mr.Saul is from Manchester, England and obtained a bachelor's degree in Law in 2021. Saul always aims to create a fun and exciting learning environment for his students. Outside of teaching he enjoys running, football and music.

Ms. Savannah is a bachelor of science graduate from South Africa. She is passionate about teaching children and creating an inviting, enjoyable and effective learning environment for her students. Her interests include science, cooking, baking, and painting.

Mr. Shiney is from South Africa and graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree. After teaching for 6 years, he decided to apply at Monkey Tree so that he can broaden his knowledge through his passion and love for educating young children. Ms. Shannon was born in Hong Kong but moved to Macau when she was little and lived there until she finished her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Macau. After graduating, she realized she wanted to teach children and obtained her TESOL training. She has now moved back to Hong Kong to pursue a career in education and is looking forward to teaching at Monkey Tree.

Ms.Shante is an enthusiastic teacher from the coastal city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She took the leap of moving to Hong Kong in 2024, having never been to Asia. She has a passion for working with children of all ages, playing tennis and hiking through nature.

Mr Shawn is from Rhode Island in the United States. He enjoys backpacking, camping and white-water rafting. He loves adventure, and is thrilled to make new memories with his students at Monkey Tree.

Mr. Sheldon is a South African English teacher originally from the coastal city of Durban. He studied Psychology and is TEFL certified. Before moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Sheldon spent several years teaching English in China. He has a passion for music and helping students reach their full potential.

Mr. Shervin grew up in New York City. He studied Mechanical Engineering at New York University but quickly found that his passion was in teaching. Mr. Shervin has previously taught in South Korea and is excited to work with students here in Hong Kong. He loves traveling and hiking and aims to summit the twenty tallest peaks in Hong Kong during his time here.

Ms. Dee is from South Africa and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, as well as multiple teaching qualifications from Cambridge University. She previously taught in China and enjoys making the classroom a fun place to learn and to develop her students. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking different types of food as well as playing the drums.

Miss Somen has a bachelors in Global Business Management. She has experience in tutoring students and has previously worked as a native English teacher at other learning centres and in a local kindergarten school. In her free time, she enjoys baking and trying out new recipes.

Steven Barclay comes from South Africa where he grew up and has lived his whole life. He has achieved a bachelors in psychology and communication sciences and decided that travelling to a different country to teach would broaden his experiences and help him become a better individual.

Miss Sydney is a UJ Sport Psychology graduate with a passion for people. She loves sport and being outdoors. Some of her hobbies are; playing netball, watching basketball and coaching athletics.

Ms Tamin-Lee is from South Africa. She studied Law and is a qualified Legal Practitioner who found her passion to be in working with young children. She completed the TEFL courses and looks forward to teaching in Hong Kong and getting to know the culture.

Ms. Tendai is a Zimbabwean native, who studied game development in Malaysia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Miss Tendai would make mobile games for all ages and posted them to the playstore, some of her published work include Achihera and Crozzle. Although he had little experience with teaching kids before coming to Hong Kong, his experiences with teaching foreign, university students English has been very enjoyable and unique.
